Why Divide by 0.90?

Published film VLT values are measured on a nominal 90% clear glass standard. That reference glass contributes its own visible-light loss. Dividing by 0.90 removes that reference-glass contribution and gives a better estimate of installed VLT on real automotive glass.

Installed VLT = Glass VLT x Film VLT / 0.90
